It has been said that justice should be blind so that she can remain unbiased and without prejudice. That justice should make determination based on evidence of guilt or innocence rather than a wrong view of the person charged. This is a good thing: Justice should be blind and unbiased. But faith cannot be blind, even though many Christians only want to believe when they can’t see what is going on! Like the monkey that “sees no evil” or like the ostrich with their head in the ground, too many believers seem to think that to have faith for something, they need to avoid looking at or talking about it. Faith has to be a gift of the Holy Spirit. Faith cannot be a just a good “hunch” but many times that “hunch” is coming from our spirit and is more real than a “guess” or “shot in the dark.” Faith is based on God’s ability not ours. God loves us to exercise faith in HIM! Hebrews 11:6: But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him! Real faith has one ingredient that many ignore and therefore do not get the results: the natural. Real faith works in the natural realm because we see at the reality of what we are facing BUT WE KNOW God is bigger and GOD is ABLE. We acknowledge the natural but look a little higher and see the supernatural realm! Rather than hiding from it or avoiding it we face the impossible knowing this is what God does without distinction. Abraham KNEW his body was 100 years old and his wife’s womb was barren, BUT he still believed what God said to Him HE was ABLE to perform.
Romans 4:18-22: Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. Some people feel if they hear or see the natural, somehow they can’t see the supernatural be done! But God is ABLE. Blind faith doesn’t work because it ignores the real and attempts to avoid the challenge. But the challenge is not for us to overcome but for God to overcome! What looks impossible to us is a yawn for God. With man it is impossible but with GOD all things are possible! |
