Insights for 2015 – Part 1

2014 was a shaky year with ISIS, Ebola, and Ukraine dominating the news. I have learned that things that look threatening many times never materialize & other things do happen we don’t foresee. We need more wisdom (what to do) and understanding (what it means)-Job 12:13. We must stop asking what? why? and when?

1) We are called to make heaven happen here! Job 22:28– We are called to decree and speak those things into being that are God’s will and as we do, light will shine on our ways!

God put us in the earth not to merely wring our hands over what is happening, but to “make heaven happen here!” When we align and join our hearts with heaven’s will then as we pray and declare His kingdom comes to earth!
After Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005, gas went up to $6 a gallon. For months after, at Wednesday night prayer we prayed, prophesied, and declared the release of new discoveries of oil and gas in the US and Israel. We saw by the spirit and prayed for oil discoveries so we could  be free of Middle Eastern oil. Within a few years all that we cried out for in those prayer times has happened! The US is now the number #1 producer and exporter of gas and oil on earth!

If we don’t understand WHY we are placed in this world, we will never grasp the significance of our place in this world ! Eph 3:7-12 says:

1) We are ministers of the gospel according to the grace and working of His power;
2) To preach the unsearchable riches of Christ and bring light for everyone to see God’s mysterious plan

We are not helpless observers or reporters of events but creators and changers of them as we align with God’s eternal purposes. We have a call to make things happen through prayer, proclamation & preaching. Do we look at things as mere men or do we see ourselves as sons and daughters of almighty God?

2) We will see the Rise of the Transformed. God transforms us so we can transform others and transform our surroundings. Our reason for being here at this juncture of history is to become that person God designed us to be and then do those things our design demands which God already planned and predetermined we were to do before we were ever born or this world was ever begun!

Eph 2:10 says: “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.” NIV
Romans 12:2-And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

We are told:

DON’T BE CONFORMED, but BE TRANSFORMED and PROVE WHAT THE WILL OF GOD IS…

What does this mean? It literally means that we  are to discern, is this God’s will and then either approve it (Phil 1:10) or change it (Romans 8:19).

We get results when we do God’s will! 1 John 5:14-15
