1 Peter 2:4-5 – “As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, you, like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” In New Testament scripture, we see three different models of Jewish culture that describe the church & God’s people:
So, from these examples, we can see that the life we have on this earth can be likened to living in a spiritual “house”. The foundations we build our “house” upon, the materials we use to build it, and the things we fill our house with are all part of our life and destiny.
We can all can fill our spiritual houses by fulfilling the dreams and destinies God places in each of our hearts. The things He moves us to do are not possible in our flesh. In fact, they are downright impossible without God’s involvement to help us realize them. But, they are our dreams which He gave us to realize and dreams DO come true in Him! |
